There are many more projects that can be completed within the hoop and the creative abilities that come from just utilizing an embroidery machine. Lots of Fun!
Quilting In the Hoop
The next favorite thing that I have created and quilting in the hoop. Oh My! Is this fun! Once you know how to digitize and create your own quilting pattern lines, the sky is the limit. You just need to center your hoop in each square and put it in your machine. It takes about a minute to embroider quilting lines, then you pull it out and do the next one. When quilts have different shapes of fabric on the quilt top, then you get creative and may have to create more designs to stitch the on the quilt.
Cap Embroidery
This type of embroidery is a little more tough. There are machines that have hat embroidery, that really are not great hat machines. You want a machine that has a round attachment and not a flat attachment. You are limited to spacing on a hat so your embroidery designs must fit within the limited spacing. If you purchase a design that is larger, typically the machine will not accept the design to embroider. Hats to be embroidered are very carefully attached to the hat embroidery attachment (any mistakes affect the embroidery of the hat) and secured so there is no slipping of the embroidery lines.
Embroidery on Blanks
This is typically how embroiderers start embroidery. You purchase the product and the embroidery design and stitch by inserting the product with the stabilizer in the hoop (centered) and download the design in your machine. There are many embroidery designs that can be purchased on the internet as well as embroidery blanks. Embroidery blanks can include baby bibs, towels, shirts, jackets, vests, etc.
